Get [your hands] Dirty! Alternative Spring Break Application

Get [your hands] Dirty, the Jewish Renaissance Project's Alternative Spring Break trip is a week-long experience focused on getting to know an awesome group of people while exploring food ethics, sustainable agriculture, local food through hands-on volunteer work, building community, and exploring the intersection of social justice and Jewish values.

**Prior knowledge about the aforementioned topics is absolutely not necessary!  We hope this trip will be a learning experience for all**

If you are chosen to participate, you will be expected to participate in all aspects of the ASB trip, attend all scheduled on-campus orientation sessions as well as participate in awesome follow-through activities that we'll give you resources to create! Please consider this as you complete the following questions.

Application Process:  We are accepting applications on a rolling basis and hope to have a group assembled before Thanksgiving, so the sooner you submit your application, the better!  We'll contact you to set up an interview within a few days of receiving your application.

Application Deadline: November 12, 2008

** We want this application process to be brief, so we are not going to ask a lot of questions here but will get to know you much better through our interview process.**

Dates: March 8-15, 2009

Cost: $400 +$100/person group fundraising responsibility (we will explain this during the interview)

What unique perspective about the above issues (or any others!) will you bring to the group, both during the program and upon your return to Penn?
What are you hoping to gain from this trip experience?
Please list 5 times in the next 7-10 days (excluding weekends) that you are available for an interview.
