Kosher Dining at Penn

Steinhardt Hall Kosher Dining in the Falk Dining Commons

Dining is located on the first floor of Steinhardt Hall and provides kosher lunch and dinner each weekday as well as Shabbat dinner and lunch. Wonderful food is served in the great new state of the art dining room. All students with a Penn Card can simply swipe their card to eat at Steinhardt Hall.

There is a $2 surcharge for all meals at Steinhardt Hall, including Shabbat and Holidays, which can be paid with Dining Dollars as well as charged to the bursar bill. Cash is also accepted for meals.

Dining Hours

Steinhardt Hall Dining serves lunch and dinner Monday through Friday (which includes Shabbat dinner Friday night) and Shabbat lunch on Saturday

Lunch:
Monday - Thursday: 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
2:00 pm - 5:00 p.m. Cold Food is Served

Friday, Saturday: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Dinner:
Monday - Thursday: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Friday: 1 hour after Candle Lighting
(times subject to change due to religious holidays and university events)

Food Schedule
Due to kosher requirements, meals serve either meat or dairy:

Meat Meals:
Both meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as well as Saturday lunch

Dairy Meals:
Both meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays

 

All food is prepared under the rabbinic supervision of the Orthodox Vaad of Philadelphia.
