The Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF) is a conversational seminar for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. We may not have the answers, but we’ll create space to ask the big questions of our lives through a Jewish lens – from “Who am I & What communities am I a part of?”, to topics of God and divinity, friendship, Jewish eating and holidays.
Participation in JLF includes:
– A $300 stipend distributed at the end of the semester for those who participate in at least 8 of the 10 sessions.
– 10 Weekly meetings through the semester on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:15pm.
– Building community with other Penn students through dialogue and a Shabbat experience together.
JLF applicants are excited to learn but require no previous Jewish background.
