Ella Cooperman

Ella Cooperman grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey. She graduated from the Joint Program between Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) where she earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Hebrew Bible. In college Ella called Hillel her home, and she is so excited to help make Hillel a home for so many more students at Penn! After college, Ella lived on the Upper West Side in NYC and worked at Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC), initially in the inaugural cohort of FJC Fellows and then as a full member of the FJC team. Ella has spent all her summers at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires, where she was a counselor and a Rosh Edah (unit head) for many years, and is a proud “camp person”. Come hang out with Ella if you love discussing Judaism, Jewish Camp, all things Disney, Marvel movies, running, different kinds of coffee, and cooking a lot of vegetables!
