Rabbi Misha Clebaner

Rabbi Misha Clebaner, originally from Ukraine, was raised in San Francisco and received his BA from Emory University. He received his Rabbinic Ordination from Hebrew College in Boston. Rabbi Misha has served Jewish communities in Los Angeles, Boston, and most recently as an Assistant Rabbi in Sydney, Australia.
He has supplemented his classroom education with hands-on experiences like participating in the World Partners Fellowship in India and completing a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Boston.
Passionate about Israel education, Rabbi Misha is a graduate and a fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute and the Birthright Israel Leadership program. He also spent a semester abroad studying at the Hebrew University and later attended the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Misha was also a fellow in the CIRCLE Interfaith Leadership program. Along with a Muslim colleague, he developed a course on the topic of food insecurity and increasing awareness around the issue of hunger in adults and children.
Along with his wife, Anabelle, and their son Ayalon, the Clebaner family are overjoyed to be joining the Penn Hillel community.
