Robert Oldstein

Bob is a home-grown Philadelphia resident who has worked in various financial positions during his career, primarily in the private sector. Bob graduated from Temple University as an Accounting major and is a Certified Public Accountant. Upon graduation, Bob began his career with Haskins and Sells, one of the “Big Eight” Accounting firms at the time and subsequently held various financial Director positions at ARAMARK, including Assistant Corporate Controller. Bob’s time at ARAMARK included being part of the team to initiate a leveraged buyout that allowed various levels of management to buy the company and therefore to take it private. At the time, this was a new and unique financial tool used by companies to achieve greater management control and flexibility. Subsequent to his time at ARAMARK, Bob held the position of Chief Financial Officer for a family owned manufacturing company. Ultimately, Bob found his way to the nonprofit world at Hillel, where he held the position of Direction of Financial Management and Business Operations as well as the current position of Chief Financial Officer.

Bob currently lives outside Philadelphia with his wife Nita and they have a son and a daughter who are married and live in the area. Bob tries to spend as much time as possible enjoying his two grandchildren, Ella and Levi.
